What do exchange prices mean?

IBEX — Bulgaria

Bulgaria's independent energy exchange. Founded in 2014. Operates Day-Ahead, Intraday and bilateral contracts. Member of SDAC (Single Day-ahead Coupling) — European price coupling.

HUPX — Hungary

The Hungarian energy exchange. An important indicator for prices in Central Europe. Connected to IBEX via market coupling along the Bulgarian-Romanian-Hungarian border.

Base Load vs Peak Load

Base Load — average price over 24 hours (0:00-24:00). Peak Load — average price during peak consumption hours (8:00-20:00). The difference shows price volatility.

How is the price formed?

Final business price = exchange price (IBEX) + trader markup + grid fees (DSO) + public service obligations + excise duty and VAT. Balkan Logic optimizes the exchange component.
